Handball World Championship

The Machineseeker Group will sponsor the 2021 Handball World Championship in Egypt from January 13th to 31st. For the past two years, the German-based company has been the largest sponsor of the second German Bundesliga with its platforms Machineseeker and TruckScout24. Among others, traditional clubs such as VfL Bochum, Hannover 96 or 1. FC Nürnberg are involved. In 2021, handball will be added as a wide-reaching sport.

“With our brands Maschinensucher and TruckScout24 we will be present at all matches of the German national team in the form of floor covering advertising,” Sven Schmidt, Chief Marketing Officer of the Machineseeker Group, announced exclusively to the trade magazine “Sponsors”. The matches with German participation will be broadcasted live by ARD and ZDF. At their peak, the live broadcasts at the 2019 World Championship reached more than ten million viewers. In addition, many dealers of used machines are interested in handball.

The primary goal, he says, is “to get into the minds of people for whom Machineseeker and TruckScout24 offer is relevant,” Schmidt explains the basic idea. “This has already worked very well with sponsorship in darts as well as soccer.” The Machineseeker Group chose the Handball World Championship because the media attention for the sport is by far the greatest at World Championships and Olympic Games. “I always cheer along at the big tournaments. This time I will cheer on the German team even more intense in front of the TV,” Schmidt promises.
