Networking Event with Michael van Gerwen in the Netherlands

On Wednesday, 6 November 2019, we hosted our first international networking event together with TruckScout24. More than 70 guests came to the exclusive Hotel van der Valk in Eindhoven to exchange ideas. In a convivial round, some of the machines also changed the owner.

Interview with Michael van Gerwen and Sven Schmidt

“We are thrilled! We didn’t expect such a crowd despite many registrations in advance. We will definitely build on this next year,” says Sven Schmidt, Managing Director of Maschinensucher.

Before Sven gave an insight into the future marketing planning of the Machineseeker Group, all attendees had the opportunity to take photos with Darts superstar Michael van Gerwen and get to know him better. During the interview, the three-time darts world champion gave insights into his everyday life from tournaments, press appointments to hotel rooms. In the past, a Playstation had always been part of the 220 hotel stays per year, according to the likeable Dutchman.

Robert Giesen from Rogi Trading only missed the double 15 to win against MvG

Another highlight for many of the guests was the #MvGChallenge. Despite twice as many attempts as the Darts champion, the participants missed the big prize, a trip to the Darts World Championship in London. Robert Giesen from Rogi Trading was close to winning . The last arrows on double 15 missed their target before MvG checked out in the usual manner. Nevertheless, as the best challenger he received two tickets from Sven Schmidt for this year’s Darts World Championship.

While everyone involved in the darts board was obviously having fun, our founder and managing director Thorsten Muschler used the time for 1:1 consultations with the attending dealers. What should the perfect advertisement look like? How should I handle purchase inquiries in the most effective way? Which tools can help to exploit the full potential of Machineseeker? “It was a much more intensive and direct discussion than at my presentation in Göttingen. I was able to address problems and questions individually. It was really fun,” said Thorsten the following day in the team meeting.
