The Germany-based Machineseeker Group has acquired the naming rights of EHF Champions League. From the start of the 2022/23 season, the operator of the leading online marketplaces for used machinery and commercial vehicles in Europe will sponsor the premium competition of European club handball.

With the start of the agreement, the competition is officially called Machineseeker EHF Champions League. The Machineseeker Group thus succeeds the global brand Velux, which was most recently the title sponsor. The final tournament in Cologne and outstanding highlight of every EHF Champions League season, will be called TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 2023, referring to one of the Machineseeker Group’s number 1 marketplaces.

“If we leave the UEFA Champions League aside, the EHF Champions League is the most important European club competition. The title sponsorship strengthens our profile as the number 1 supplier of online marketplaces for used machinery and commercial vehicles in Europe”, said Sven Schmidt, Managing Director of the Machineseeker Group.

The Machineseeker EHF Champions League is the premium competition of European club handball. 16 teams will play for one of the four places at the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 in the German Lanxess Arena starting in September. The final weekend in Cologne is the outstanding highlight of every EHF Champions League season. The match days for Europe’s best teams are Wednesdays and Thursdays at 18:45 and 20:45. The 2022/23 season starts on September 14. The TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 will take place on June 17 and 18, 2023.

In addition to the naming, Machineseeker will be exposed in all 132 matches throughout the hall setup (floor stickers, LED boards) as well as on print and digital channels. “We are number 1 in Spain, Germany, Poland, Northern and Eastern Europe. This fits perfectly with the strong presence of European handball in these countries”, said Thorsten Muschler, founder and CEO of Machineseeker.

Machineseeker is well-known as a sponsor of World Handball Championship in Egypt in 2021. The Group with its marketplaces Machineseeker.com and TruckScout24.com is also the biggest sponsor of the 2nd German Soccer League and an official partner of Team Germany for the Olympic Games.
